FR. TODD E-GLASSES UPDATE
Dear Brothers and Sisters:
Christmas came early for me this year. On June 25 I received a gift I’ve been dreaming about receiving for 50 years. This gift God gave me was the gift of better sight thanks to E Sight electronic glasses. What a wonderful gift these are. With these glasses I was able to see my first deer in the parking lot. I also was able to see the signs in the outfield at the Rafters game. I also use them at the musical Annie that Pacelli put on. It was fun to see the cast up close, and see their facial expressions.
The first week was filled with tears of joy. I think the most emotional day was the first day when my mom held the letter from E sight out away from my face and I was able to read it until she started to cry and the page shook. Another set of tears came when I was at St. Peter’s the first Wednesday I had the glasses for adoration. Zooming in with the glasses made it look like Jesus and I were right face-to-face with each other. What an awesome gift that was. At mass I can use the regular altar stands and not have to hold the binder in my face. They have also taught me how to be creative. I was also able to read the second row of gravestones at the convent Cemetery while standing in front of the first row.
The other emotional time was on the video when I thanked my donors. I do indeed want to thank you all from the bottom of my heart. Whether it was your money or your prayers this miracle came true real fast thanks to you. Thanks to you not only do I have my glasses, but I was able to help two other people get their glasses. I’m not done yet. I still have money to help others get the technology, and it is all thanks to you. Even after six weeks I am still on the high clouds because of your generosity. God bless you all.
